Rally Sunday: Sunday School will kick-off this year on September 17th with an intergenerational activity. On this day we ask that all children, parents, and any other congregational members who are interested meet down in the fellowship hall after service. At this time we will participate in an activity we’re calling “Faith Stones” or “Faith Rocks”. Each person will have the chance to design and paint a stone which will be used in a future activity at Faith Lutheran. Children will also meet their teachers and see their classrooms.

Sunday, September 17th, Adult Forum will resume at 8:00 A.M. in the Reception Room. We will begin our 9 week series on the New Testament using the book, “The Story”. Each session begins with a short video followed by discussion by those present. Coffee will be available so please plan to join us at our new time of 8:00 A.M. We will continue with Chapter 22 of “The Story” entitled “The Birth of The King”. It has been 400 years since the history of the Old Testament, no burning bushes, no splitting of the seas, no visions, no dreams, no prophets, no messages from God ….just silence. And then the Word became flesh. God's promise to Abraham and David has been fulfilled and this is the event to which everything thus far in “The Story” has pointed.

Faith Lutheran has received a generous memorial bequest from Janice Jandrey. Janice’s deep love for God and Faith has led to a generous gift: the creation of a $50,000 matching fund to reduce our mortgage debt. We are so thankful to the family for this generous offer! The Janice Jandrey Memorial Matching Fund Drive has begun and will continue until December 31, 2017. All funds donated to the capital appeal during this time will be matched up to $50,000. (This includes all donations that have already been pledged, but the intent of the gift is to encourage additional giving). Every dollar you give during the fund drive is effectively doubled. Please see the display in the Gathering Space for more information.

Please Note: There will no longer be televised worship of our weekly church service on Channel 20 in Manitowoc. They have discontinued broadcasting it.

Please tune into WOMT, WGBA, or WBAY for ALL cancelations…Faith Lutheran will follow the Valders Public School District’s policy regarding closings, cancellations, etc. SO...If schools are closed…FAITH LUTHERAN is closed (church & office) no activities, worship, etc. If they dismiss classes early or cancel after school activities, FLC also cancels evening activities. No need to wonder, no need to get all bundled up.  Simply put- stay put!  What about Sundays?  If the worship service needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather, it will be announced ASAP.

Sign up today after church for the NYG Craft Class fundraiser: FAITH PALLET SIGN.  Classes are Saturday September 23 at 2:00 and 6:00. Limit 10 per class. Payment required at sign up.  No children allowed due to skill level of this project.  More information will be provided when signing up.  Thank you for your support of our NYG Youth Trip to Houston next year.

Faith's Food Pantry is open the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:00-10:00 a.m. serving people within a 10 mile radius of Valders. If you are in need, please stop in and we can help you.
