“Let us build a house where love is found in water, wine, and wheat,
Thinking of attending a worship service at FaithLutheran Church, but not sure what to expect? We realize that visiting a new church can be a little intimidating, so we'd like to answer some common questions.
How do I get to Faith Lutheran Church?
Faith Lutheran is located at 255 Roosevelt St in Valders (right on Highway 151). It's the church with the large ski-slope shaped roof!
Will I have to stand up in front of people?
Some churches call on their visitors to stand up during the service and introduce themselves. We do not ask people to stand up, however we encourage you to introduce yourself to those around you and the pastors before or after worship.
Do I have to dress up?
No, you don't. We encourage people to dress comfortably. For some, that may mean dressing up, but for most it simply means wearing casual clothes. We want everyone to come, be comfortable, and enjoy learning about God together.
What time do your services start?
Sunday Worship begins at 9:00. Sunday School is at 10:15 AM. (September - May) You do not need to be a member for your child to attend Sunday School. Wednesday evening services are at 6:15 pm. Check out the church calendar for dates and times of other activities.
What About Children?
We love to have children with us in worship! On Sundays we offer children's sermons. We always have bags of soft toys to keep the little one's busy and have children's bulletins for those who are a little older.
Do I have to be a Member to participate?
At Faith Lutheran you do not have to be a member to participate in Ministry functions. Everyone is welcome to join us for worship or any function of the church!
Can I take Communion?
Any baptized, believing Christian is welcome to participate in Communion at Faith Lutheran Church. You do not have to be a member of the church or even a Lutheran. All ages are welcome to participate in the Lord's supper.
What kind of music do you have?
This is a common question. A huge debate has arisen in churches over whether traditional music or contemporary music is "right." We believe that God has inspired people throughout the ages to write hymns and songs of praise and that God continues to inspire musicians from all generations to write music that praises God and brings glory to God's name. We believe that debates regarding styles of music are more a matter of personal preference than anything else.
We offer a blend of traditional and contemporary worship services praising God with great church hymns of both past and present, as well as using a blend of music styles to glorify God.
Is the Church handicap accessible?
Yes. All areas of our facility are wheelchair accessible.
Still have questions?Feel free to contact us, and we'll be happy to answer your questions. Church Office: 920.775.4141 firstname.lastname@example.org
What's different on Wednesday Nights?
Things are a little more laid back and informal on Wednesday nights. You'll find bulletins on the table in the Narthex.
What About Communion?
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered at all worship services. All are welcome to join us in receiving our Lord's body and blood so feel free to participate! It is our stance that it is not our table, but it is the Lord's Table so, please, join us in the foretaste of the feast to come.
Join Us for Fellowship Events too!
We'd also like to invite you to come to any of the events you see described in our webpages or newsletter or bulletins. Just come and join in! For fellowship events you might find it easiest to enter the building from the Lower Parking Lot.
